PATIENCE By Glory Uwakwe

 HEY GUYS!!!    

    It's a beautiful monday morning over here and a good time to be alive because God is good and faithful.      

    Fast forward to today being (day 5) after my impacted wisdom tooth extraction and last day for my drugs YAY!!!Having time for  compulsory rest after my extraction I wanted to get back to business as usual, get back to drinking my hot cup of tea, get back to cracking my chicken bones, toast and most especially get back to counselling people and also writing to you  guys but the spirit of God spoke to me and said PATIENCE. 

 He said if I rush back without fully recovering from my pain I will reopen the wounds meant to be healed and this will cost me more time than necessary, and then it struck me that this is exactly what our generation is lacking of these days, everyone wants to be on the fast track to the idea of success [lol]. YES, I said it "The idea of success" which entails getting  a certificate early, getting  a well paying job, a car, a house, getting married,  etcetera, because the list is endless. But have you ever sat down to find out what success means to you, I mean literally define your own success before pursuing it or you are on an empty chase of someone's else definition of success? 

  I never made it before those times in the olden days; but I wish I did because, I learnt those were times it took letters weeks to get to the recipient, days where you never knew what your friend or brother is doing in the next town because there was no social media to post both the things that are real and are not, I heard those days gatherings were basically because they missed each other genuinely and wanted to rest from their individual hustle and not necessarily to show off or undermine the other compared to today.  

 You can lie to even your best friend and even your parents but you can never lie to yourself so ask yourself: "This life I am living so, is it the life I really want for myself or what the society made me believe I needed? A wise man once said "SUCCESS MEANS DIFFERENT THINGS TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE" and may be it's time to pursue your own definition of success because, only then can you truly find inner peace; true and lasting happiness regardless and that is where you naturally get patient even when it doesn't work immediately because you know this is what you sincerely need deep down. 

         I can't assure you that you won't get impatient, NO! But I can assure you that it's easier to wait when you know deep down that the reason for waiting is what you really need and not what you want. 

    This post is dedicated  to God almighty for constantly teaching me through the Holy Spirit life lessons that I am able to share  with you all and I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has in one way or the other supported and encouraged me every step of the way. I say THANK YOU.
